Associate
Onyi Salako
Onyi Salako is an associate at Christian Attar. A proud native Houstonian and first-generation attorney, Onyi brings a deep sense of purpose and community to her practice, focusing on labor and employment law, real estate litigation, property disputes, and a variety of complex commercial litigation matters.
Onyi earned her Juris Doctor from South Texas College of Law Houston, where she was a dedicated member of the Mock Trial Team and served as Academic Chair of the Black Law Student Association. Her advocacy and leadership earned her several honors, including the Order of the Barristers, Presidential Fellow, Joscelyn Wilder Memorial Scholarship, and Best Appellate Brief in Legal Research & Writing II.
She received her Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from Texas Tech University in 2018, where she was inducted into Pi Sigma Alpha, the National Political Science Honor Society.
Outside the office, Onyi enjoys spending time with her husband, Yusuf, and their high-energy (and high-attitude) Frenchton, Coco. She’s a regular at Zumba classes, never misses a good musical at a local theater, and when she’s not on the move, she’s likely planning her next adventure or exploring a new city.
